The Pitt Global Hub is an interactive student lounge and resource center on the first floor of Posvar Hall. Students can use the Global Hub to learn about available global and international credentials and programs; practice a language; participate in a breadth of activities with an international and/or global focus; and meet students from different cultural backgrounds. This space aims to help students internationalize and globalize their degree and foster relationships among domestic and international students.
For Fall 2025, we are seeking to hire a Global Hub Undergraduate Student Ambassador who will work in-person in the Global Hub, with the possibility of representing the Global Hub at other in-person programs on campus. Please note this position is for undergraduate students only. International students are encouraged to apply.
The Global Hub Undergraduate Student Ambassador serves as one of the primary points of contact for students engaging with the Global Hub and UCIS/Pitt Global. Typical duties include:
- Answering student inquiries about global and international opportunities and directing them to the Assistant Director for Student and Community Engagement or appropriate advisor/expert if necessary.
- Educating students, in the Global Hub and across campus, about the variety of opportunities available at Pitt to internationalize their experiences inside and outside the classroom, including the Global Distinction and UCIS certificates.
- Coordinating with the Assistant Director for Student and Community Engagement and Outside the Classroom Curriculum (OCC) to assign myPittGlobal credit to programming in Suitable.
- Assisting with Global Hub events, including reservations and tracking/monitoring of attendance and utilization of the space.

The Pitt Global Hub Undergraduate Student Ambassador can work up to a maximum of 15 hours per week during the academic year and should be available to work an average of 1-2 daytime shifts per week (including mornings, between 8:30 am and 12 pm) and 1-2 evenings or weekends per month. Fall work dates are from August 18-December 12.
