The Pitt News is currently seeking students to work as reporters for the news section of the newspaper.
As a news writer, you will report on the latest events on campus and in Pittsburgh. The desk covers current events, student organizations, student government, campus police and University announcements, as well as holding the administration accountable. You will have the opportunity to interview Pitt students and staff, and attend events and write about them. The news desk is in charge of reporting on the latest events on campus and in Pittsburgh. News writers could find themselves writing about almost anything on campus. The news desk consists of staff writers, senior staff writers, two assistant editors and a head editor. Students are compensated for their work at The Pitt News. This position is open only to registered students at the University of Pittsburgh's main campus.
